Continuing Education Programs and Guides

The New York State Smokers’ Quitline, under the auspices of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, is pleased to provide physicians with online, Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for Smoking Cessation with Adult Patients. Based on the Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines, this tobacco prevention/cessation course is designed to assist physicians counsel their patients on the benefits of smoking prevention and cessation.

Other Online Programs

Medcape (WebMD) links to contents of a CME/CE activity, “Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence,” offered by the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Credits are available for physicians, nurses and pharmacists. You will have to login or create a free account on Medscape.com to access this course.
