- The information you post to Kudoboard will be visible to the public and may be subject to removal.
- To be considered for a prize, please click here to complete a contest entry form. The contest is open to New York State residents of all ages. Those affiliated with the New York State Tobacco Control Program or Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center may post to Kudoboard but are ineligible for the gift card prizes.
- The New York State Quitline’s Marketing and Outreach team will convene a five-person judging panel consisting of members of the New York State Quitline’s Healthcare Professional Task Force and Community-Based Organizations Task Force. This panel will judge entries to determine a “Judges’ Favorite” entry for a $500 pet supplies gift card prize and a separate “Fan Favorite” entry for a $250 pet supplies gift card prize.
- The New York State Quitline’s Marketing and Outreach Team will select seven (7) outstanding entries upon conclusion of the campaign as “Judges’ Favorite” finalists for the $500 pet supplies gift card. The judging panel will assign a total of 30 points to each entry based on the following criteria:
- 0-10 points for Creativity
- 0-10 points for Message
- 0-10 points for Visual Appeal
- In the event of a tie score for first place, judges will provide an ordinal rank among the tied entries, which will determine the winner.
- The New York State Quitline’s Marketing and Outreach Team will compile the top three “Fan Favorite” entries by tallying the entries’ likes and comments on the Kudoboard page. The aforementioned five-person judging panel will rank entries first, second, and third. In the event of a tie for first, judges will rank again between the top two entries to determine a winner for the $250 pet supplies gift card.
- The New York State Quitline will contact winners during the week of November 9, 2026 to award gift card prizes and announce winning entries via a press release at NYSmokeFree.com/news-room and via its social media channels on or around Tuesday, November 17, 2026.
* The term tobacco refers to the use of manufactured, combustible commercial products and electronic/vape products – not the sacred, medicinal and traditional use of tobacco by Native American nations and other Indigenous groups.
